Think About Turning Today!
December 2012 President’s Message: Christmas Party: Wednesday, December 12, 6:00 PM at the South Side Senior Center, a Potluck Dinner and Show and Tell. Hope your Thanksgiving holiday was peaceful and filled with an appreciation of our immense blessings.
Merry Christmas!! Snow, winter spirit, and another season of thanksgiving are upon us. Yellowstone Woodturners can rejoice that it has been a year of camaraderie and good turning. And now it is time to look forward to another great year.
We are looking forward to our Christmas Party at our next meeting, December 12…. but at 6:00 PM at the South Side Senior Center. The club will provide a lovely cooked ham, and all the members will bring a favorite dish or desert. Also, bring your spouses, children, and friends. This truly is a family affair. Do bring, for display, a favorite wood turning, any creation, or any project that you are proud of. There will be some lovely prizes and you will provide some joy for all of us. (Categories for entries: Christmas decorations, bowls, platters, hollow forms, segmented, other. Bring whatever you feel is your best work.)
The nomination committee will also present its recommendations for two officers to be elected for the coming year. It is not too late, however, for you to come forward and volunteer to be an officer. And remember, a club is only as good as it’s members. Our members are great!!
Meeting place, South Side Senior Citizens Center, 901 South 30 street. (see map below).
