Show and Tell: December challenge ( Christmas ornaments)
Ralph Pehl: Brought a bird house ornament, kind of wood and finish unknown.
Tim Morgan: Brought 2 ornaments one was a lamp the other was a Christmas tree kind of wood
and finish unknown.
Dale Molyneaux: Brought a Christmas bottle stopper from sumac out of his back yard, painted finish.
Dave Torrence: Brought a Christmas bulb ornament with a carved landscape on it, kind of wood and
Dan Vanderhoof: Brought a finial ornament, kind of wood and finish unknown.
Other show and tell:
Phil Scott: Brought 2 segmented bowls and a segmented vase, kind of woods and finish unknown.
Dr. Van: Brought a segmented bowl, kind of woods and finish unknown.
Ralph Pehl: Brought a Cedar natural edge bowl with a lacquer finish, a goblet made from Ash, finish unknown.
Stan Lambert: Brought a candy bowl made from a Maple burl, finish unknown a bowl made from Maple, finish unknown and a Maple goblet with attached ring, finish
Tim Morgan: Brought a plate made from a old butcher block, with an epoxy finish a goblet,
kind of wood and finish unknown and 2 pencil holders, kind of wood and finish unknown.
Paul Spencer: Brought a jewelery stand made from Maple, Walnut and metal, finish unknown and 4 sets of earrings made from Maple, Diamond Wood, Corian
Nick Emslander: Brought an Eiffel Tower jewelery stand with Poplar wood turned shelves finished with a polyurethane and stain mix.

Hands On Workshops: George Oliver said he will do 5 again in 2015.
2015 Dues are due, remain at $25.

Yellowstone Woodturners Symposium for 2015... October 17-18
Douglas Fisher, Parksville, BC, Canada
Wood sculptures using a lathe, adhesive designs, dyes, enhancements and off set turning.
Saturday (9:00 to 4:00) will be class type demo.
Sunday (9:00 to 4:00) will be a workshop with 8 lathes (observers welcome)
Approval of lathe purchase, Martin Robinson will sell a Delta midi lathe and chuck to the
club for $350, also need approval to purchase a lift table from Harbor
Freight (approx. $200 to $250). These items were voted on and approved.
High School classes:
Dan Vanderhoof, Jerry Gipe and Stan Lambert teaching classes in 2015 and other members are welcome to help.
Monthly turning challenge:
No challenge for next meeting.
